Pandemic Legacy is an exciting cooperative campaign board game. It unfolds over a captivating story arc that spans 12 - 24 gaming sessions, depending on your team's performance. At the start, it's similar to the basic Pandemic game. You and your team of disease - fighting experts race against time to travel the world. Your goal is to treat disease hotspots and find cures for four plagues before they spiral out of control. During your turn, you have four actions. You can travel around the world in different ways (sometimes discarding a card), build research stations, treat diseases by removing a cube from the board (the disease is eradicated when all cubes of a color are gone), trade cards with other players, or discover a cure at a research station by discarding five cards of the same color. Each player has a unique role with special abilities. After taking your actions, you draw two cards. These may include epidemic cards, which place new disease cubes on the board and can trigger outbreaks, spreading the disease further and increasing the travel cost to affected cities. Each month in the game, you get two chances to meet the month's objectives. Success means moving on to the next month, while failure gives you a second try with more funds for beneficial event cards. Throughout the campaign, new rules and components are introduced. You'll need to make permanent changes to the game components, like writing on cards, tearing them up, and adding permanent stickers. Your characters can gain new skills or suffer negative effects, and a character might even be lost for good.

To play this game, gather your friends and start with the initial setup as described. On your turn, choose your four actions wisely to travel, build, treat diseases, trade cards, or find cures. Keep an eye on the cards you draw, especially epidemic cards, as they can change the game quickly. Remember, you have two chances each month to meet the objectives. When new rules and components are introduced, follow the instructions carefully to make the necessary changes to the game. Regarding maintenance, store the game in a dry and cool place to keep the cards and components in good condition. Be gentle when writing on cards or using stickers to avoid damage. If a character is lost, don't try to use it again during the rest of the campaign. Have fun playing and work together as a team to win the game!
